I worked as a costume designer on Milk Candies a short film. The story follows Tyler as his family’s Chinese supermarket closes and his departure for university looms, the British-Chinese teenager revisits his childhood and reevaluates his most important relationships, coming to terms with change and the challenges or moving on.

I was initially drawn in by the emotion and relatability shown in the script for Milk Candies. I felt I could relate to the characters fear of change and how daunting it can feel to start a new chapter of your life. I think that the script captured this feeling beautifully and I knew I wanted to be a part of telling that story.

I enjoyed designing costumes for a contemporary piece and the opportunity to experiment with colour schemes and textures on screen.
